How long have you been recruiting?
Less than 1 year
What are the most important things we should know about you?

I am without a doubt the greatest online call-in recruiting radio show host in the world. My overseas fans call me The Mighty Quinn because they have trouble saying the R in Recruiting.

In 2007, David Bull Doza Mendoza got me elected as Recruitingblogs.com Personality of the Year and, Bull Doza willing, I hope to retain this title for many years to come.

Is Good Old Sourcing Dead?

Miles Jennings from Talentbar says:

1. Linkedin, Facebook, mySpace, JigSaw, Zoominfo are making people easier to find.

2. That changes the recruiter's function from sourcing to selling candidates on jobs and assessing them for the client

3. To perform these tasks well, a recruiter has to understand the business she is working in better than ever before.… Continue

Analyzing Body Language

I'm a fan of the neo-necon. She's a psychotherapist who was raised as Democrat but swung to the centre-right. So, she's not voting for Obama.

The other day, she analyzed his body posture. I initially said that her comments were the product of pure bias but she challenged my opinion so I had a second look and think that it might be of interest to us as recruiters.

How To Get The Truth From Liars

Reference: Paul Hebert on Fist Full of Talent.

No one is honest when there is a punishment for honesty.

Ask an employee if the incentive program drives her performance and she'll say no. Why? Because she doesn't want to admit (or believe) that she is influenced by a small reward. Then, ask she ever checks her score against her colleagues. Of course she does. They all do.

The lesson? Often, you can't ask… Continue

Haha, I need to update that picture to something a little friendlier, maybe I was grouchy that day. Pleasure meeting you at the conference, hope to see you at more events soon!

How to Recruit on Facebook...Terrible webinar. I gathered 6 of my team, got set up in a conf room with the projector ready to learn. After 25 minutes, I woke up and everyone had left the room. We shut it down more the half the way through.
Thoughts? Comments? Anyone else feel this way?

Do you feel it hasn't? I am not saying that all parents are better workers, but I am saying those who already were great workers before their kids, now have an even more sense of responsibility for their duties. Before my kids I worked sometimes as many as 90 hours a week, made a decent amount (around $50k-$60k per year) and had a ton of responsibility. After my first, I began making over $100k per year, doubled what I was making for the company in sales, and took on even more responsibility but managed my time much more efficiently resulting in about 50 hours per week. Keep in mind, same company, same position, same environment, same territory, nothing changed except me. Tired, yes, sleep at work, no. Not every parent has the same motivations, but to pigeon hole them into a group of tired, lazy, job abandoning employees seems highly irresponsible don't you think?

Yup, good point. Thanks for the tip. Hey, you also asked me to be a guest on your show. I'd love that. What dates should I consider? Let me know or let me know where I should look to find that.

See ya, animal.

I'm taking my last name as my middle name. I like the tradition of taking the man's last name but I don't want to give up Zittel. My name will be Danielle Zittel Moseley. This way I'll also keep my nick name "DZ." I think it's a good compromise. ;)

Animal. You are not funny on your site and you are not funny here. While it is true I set this particular Ning site up I have done no work to make it like it is.

I am new to the blogging world. I hit the whole social media/networking a little late but ramping up quickly. As of now I have been focused on relavant info for the candidate. Will convert to recruiting tactics soon.
