Positioned for Success in a "Down Economy"

We have all heard that each situation is what we make of it. Abraham Lincoln, my boy, said, "Folks are as happy as they make their mind up to be" I would like to relate that to recruiting and the negative aura that hangs over what seems to be in everyone's thoughts and minds…

Critical Mass or Just Buzz?

A couple things sparked this post: I am interviewing candidates for a Senior Recruiter opening in NJ and the release of a controversial article this past week referencing "what makes for a successful recruiter" in today's changing and evolving market filled with technologically struggling baby boomers all the way to over stimulated millennials. How do you recruit in today's market? How do you get recruited? This is clearly for RECRUITERS and for PEOPLE that want to never question if they are bei… Continue

Talent Acquisition versus Job Requisition

Ding! Ding! In the old school corner we have the notorious Job Requisition weighing in at an impressive amount too popular to measure ANNnnd in this corner, the master of strategy, the much admired, underrated, yet Champion of hiring...Talent Acquisition! I have been speaking with many people lately on a major concept that we promote at Rosetta, which we classify as Talent Acquisition. I have had a lot of candidates ask if I could provide them with a job description to which I wonder if a JD ev… Continue

It was definitely an introduction to the both Myspace and Facebook. I guess I take for granted that our company focuses on implementing social media strategies for Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 companies. I am not bragging whatsoever because I have too much to learn on the social media recruiting but was hoping for more. Sorry you missed it.

Hi Darrin, I got the time wrong and came in two hours too late. So I can't comment. I did read a summary on a blog. The focus there was on the basics of MySpace and Facebook, I assume for beginners.

I would advise you to cross post to this site. If you want to cross post to my group blog recruitingbloggers.com you're welcome to but this one will give you a lot more bang. That's my advice. You might also want to provide a link to your best posts via Twitter. Actually, however, your blog is best targeted to candidates and clients than recruiters unless recruiters are your business targets.
